Obtain God’s Word

The Savior said that to Him that hath received, more shall be given. It’s like the parable of the talents. We are each given a talent in that we all have the scriptures before us. It is up to us whether we will take that talent and try to make another talent, or if we will hide it under a napkin. It’s not enough to simply read the words that have been written. The scriptures contain revelations from God. They are a key to unlocking more revelation. We obtain God’s word by reading the scriptures with the intent to receive additional personal revelation. We take the written word, and we add to it the promptings of the spirit, thus obtaining God’s word for us, directly.
