Oases In The Desert

"And we did come to the land which we called Bountiful, because of its much fruit and also wild honey; and all these things were prepared of the Lord that we might not perish." (1 Nephi 17:5). After eight years of wandering and eating raw meat and nearly starving to death, Nephi and his family find a place full of fruit and wild honey. Nephi says that this was prepared by the Lord so that he and his family might not perish. God sees the beginning from the end. He knew that Nephi and his family would need food and so years or perhaps decades earlier He had begun to prepare the land Bountiful for them. God has many such little oases prepared for us in our wanderings through the desert. He knows exactly what we need from moment to moment and He has prepared all things for us so that we might not perish.
