Finding The Center

We often make putting God at the center of our lives more complicated than it needs to be. We sometimes assume that we have to go on some journey to get to where God is. Voltaire said, “God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere.” Wherever we are, that is where God is also. The moment we have oriented ourselves towards obeying the Lord's commandments and honoring the covenants we have made with him, that is the moment that we accept the truth that God is and has always been and will always be the center of our lives. Whether we are enduring faithfully or have wandered off the path, whether we have successfully resisted temptation or have succumbed to it yet again, whether we are repenting immediately or only after long delays, in all of these situations and every other we are at the center of God's love.
