Endure To This End

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” (John 18:37). We call our Heavenly Father the Creator. He created each of us, and indeed, all things in the universe for a specific purpose. As He sent each of us to be born on Earth, our Heavenly Father did so with a clear end in mind. When we talk about Enduring to the End, it is this End that we should be thinking about. We are not enduring until our lives are ended, or until our suffering has ended, but we are enduring for a specific end, a specific cause or reason for which we came into the world. If we do not endure to this end, if we do not accomplish the reason for which we were placed upon the Earth, then regardless of whether we will have been saved or achieved exaltation, on a much broader scale, the Work and the Glory of God will have been reduced and diminished. God does not create spares or extras or useless pieces. Each of us are vitally integrated into the Plan of Happiness, and if any of us fail to endure to the end for which we were created, then the net Happiness in the universe will have been reduced. We owe it to ourselves and to everyone else to find the reason that we exist, the end for which we were born, the cause for which we came into the world, and to endure in all patience and with hope unyielding until we have accomplished that end.
