A Testimony Of Tithing

Recently I have been struggling financially and unfortunately I began to use this as justification to not pay my tithing in full every paycheck. Of course, I had that completely backwards. When we are struggling financially is when we need the protection and promised blessings that come from paying tithing the most. On my last paycheck, I decided to just have faith and pay my tithing anyway. My problems didn't magically go away, but I planned everything out and had just enough money to cover all of my expenses until my next paycheck. The real challenge to my faith came last Friday when I was told that due to a glitch in processing payroll, the money that I expected to have on Saturday might not come in until Monday. I was scared and worried for a little bit but I tried to remember that I had exercised my faith and I had put my trust in the Lord. It turns out the glitch didn't affect my payment and it came in at the usual time. I do truly believe that there is power that comes from paying tithing. It didn't magically fix everything for me or make everything easy, but I was able to face my challenges with peace that it would all work out in the end. I know that tithing has nothing to do with money and everything to do with faith and I also know that our Heavenly Father is aware of us and our struggles and He will be with us through all of our challenges.
