Making the Best
One of the things I admire most about Joseph is that he never allowed his circumstances to dictate his attitude. Being sold into slavery, he could've attempted to escape, or rebel. Some might argue that would have been the appropriate or morally correct choice. But instead, he tried to make the best of his situation and if he didn't like the position he was in, then he was going to make the position better. And then he was wrongfully accused and thrown in prison for making the right choices and again, he could have cursed God and wallowed in despair. But he didn't. He made the prison better for himself and those around him. We all have opportunities to make the world around us better and we can mope and complain or we can roll up our sleeves and get to work.
