Fasting Makes Fast our Blessings, and Makes our Blessings Fast

When used as an adjective, the word fast has two different meanings. Fast can mean rapid or quick or speedy, and it can also mean sure or secure or locked in. Both of these meanings can help explain some of the benefits for when we use the word fast as a verb. When we fast, we accelerate the rate at which we receive the blessings that we are praying for. Fasting amplifies our faith and deepens our humility and makes us more ready and willing to both accept and carry out the will of the Lord. Fasting makes our blessings come faster. When we fast, we also make sure or guarantee that our prayers will be heard and answered. Fasting makes fast, or makes sure, our blessings. Fasting aligns our will with God's. It converts physical needs into spiritual strength. It both speeds along and makes sure that our prayers are headed in the right direction. Fasting makes fast our faith and prayers and makes our faith and prayers fast.
