One Test At A Time

God always has a reason for each of the trials that He subjects us to. Sometimes we need to grow our faith. Sometimes we need to develop more patience. There is such an enormous gap between the person that we are right now and the person that God envisions that we can become. But thankfully, the Lord does not require that we change everything all at once. He has a carefully planned training regimen so that we can strengthen and develop and build up all of the Christlike attributes that we need to embody before we can become like Him. God knows exactly what we need to work on right now, and while the tests and trials and afflictions that we are expected to overcome are rarely easy or enjoyable, the humility and the patience and the longsuffering and the faith and the hope and the boundless love that we develop are worth every trial.
