People Say nothing Is Impossible, But I Do Nothing Every Day
"People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day" - Winnie the Pooh. If we need evidence that our beliefs can become reality, all we need to do is look at the times we believed that we couldn't do something. Think about it. If we believed so strongly that we could never become an artist that we never even tried to doodle anything, what was the end result? We never became an artist. Just look at that. Our belief plus our choice to either act or not act became our reality. We have countless proofs of the power of our belief, especially when we believed we couldn't do it. Just like Pooh said, we can do nothing every day and prove right our beliefs that we can't do it. But belief in and of itself isn't really a positive or a negative force, nor is believing that we can't do something stronger than a belief that we can do something. If part of you believes you can become an artist and part of you believes you can't become an artist, then the act of drawing a picture is what validates one or the other belief. And it can actually be easier to believe you can do something then the opposite. After all, you only have to draw the one picture the one time to become an artist - maybe not a particularly skilled or talented or experienced artist but an artist nonetheless. On the other hand, not being an artist means you have to combat that hope and dream over and over again every time you get near a pen and paper, just so you can continue not being an artist. I'm not saying that acting on our beliefs and chasing our dreams and ignoring our doubts is all rainbows and butterflies. What I'm saying is that when we choose to believe that we can do something, we can remember all of the times that we believed we couldn't do something and how often those beliefs became true, and we can use that experience to strengthen our belief that this too can come true.
