Do Good

In D&C 6, three times the Savior asks us to do good. “Do good, and hold out faithful to the end, thou shalt be saved in the kingdom of God” (vs 13); “Fear not to do good, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward” (vs 33); “Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.” The best thing we can do is to do good, to keep the commandments, to preach repentance, to see the work in front of us and to thrust in the sickle with our might. As we are “faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, [He] will encircle [us] in the arms of [His] love” (vs 20). We may face rejection, we may face scorn and ridicule, disappointment and doubt, fear and failure, but if we do good, then we are building upon His rock. If we do good we are promised that good shall be our reward.
