Mobius Strip

I was reading in the scriptures the other day and it said something like make straight the ways of the Lord for His course is one eternal round. This confused me a little because it's not easy to make a round course with straight lines. But then I thought about a Mobius strip. You can make a Mobius strip by taking a long, thin strip of paper and tape the ends together except before you do you give one of them a half twist. The result is a strip that only has one side. What that means is that an ant could crawl in a straight line across the surface and the ant would eventually end up where it started. So that is a way that you can take a straight path across an eternal round. This is the same as the gospel path. God wants us to travel a straight path through this mortal life that will lead us back around to Him which is where we started. And like a Mobius strip, sometimes the gospel path will challenge our intuition, it will take us to places that seem upside down or we'll end up at a place completely opposite of where we thought we should have gone. It's not always easy to understand how God can make straight paths out of eternal rounds, but if we trust in Him and if we follow eternal truths through the infinite variations presented to us, then we will walk the gospel's Mobius path in a straight line that nonetheless curves us back to where we started which is with our Heavenly Father.
