The Rock of Our Redeemer

We often talk of the Rock of our Redeemer. There are many significant rocks and stones throughout scriptures, and each can be representative of an aspect of our Savior. It was on stone that the Ten Commandments were given. As Peter said, Christ has the words of eternity. We can rely on the Rock of our Redeemer to show us how to live just like the stone tablets did. From a rock at Horeb life giving waters poured forth to save the children of Israel from dying of thirst. The stones touched by the finger of God gave the Jaredites light in dark places. The Urim and Thumim were seer stones by which the Book of Mormon was translated. It was with a stone that David slew Goliath and saved his people. Christ is the rock upon which we can build a sure foundation for our lives. He is the stone prophesied by Daniel that was cut out of the mountain without hands that would roll forth to fill the earth. He can provide guidance, healing, light, revelation and even destroy our enemies. The Rock of our Redeemer can be used to help and save us in so many more ways than we can possibly imagine and we should not hesitate to take hold of that precious stone in every moment of our lives.
