Those Who Overcome

I just finished reading the Book of Revelations and one thing that stood out to me is that six times it mentions those "who overcome" and the blessings that await them. It is comforting that as much turmoil and chaos that the Book of Revelations foretells awaits us in the last days, one of the most common phrases is about overcoming. Those that overcome will "eat of the tree of life", have "power over the nations", be "clothed in white raiment", "sit with [Christ] in [His] throne" and "shall inherit all things." In the last days perilous times shall come but if we can overcome them then all that the Father has will be ours. John would not have mentioned overcoming so many times in Revelations if there was no hope of us overcoming. We live in interesting times but we are children of God and we have access to the infinite power of the Atonement and the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. We can overcome everything that life throws at us and when we do, we shall inherit all things and sit with Christ in His throne.
