No Good Deed Is Too Small

“And when ye are in the service of the least of these, my brethren, ye are only in the service of your God”. I would argue that the following is also true: and when ye are in the least service of your brethren, ye are only in the service of your God.” When done with love in your heart and an eye single to the glory of God, no good deed is too small to go overlooked by our Savior. By small and simple means are great things brought to pass. We should never worry that our efforts to serve one another and to serve our God are too small. “Let no man count them as small things; for there is much which lieth in futurity, pertaining to the saints, which depends upon these things. You know brethren, that a very large ship is benefited very much by a very small helm in the time of a storm, by being kept workways with the wind and the waves. Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed” (D&C 123:15-17). Our efforts may seem small but our tiny contributions are part of a great work, and God can take our small efforts and make of them a great and a marvelous work.
