Plan of Knowledge

John 17:3 - “And this is life eternal, to know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” The Plan of Salvation is really a Plan of Knowledge. We progress from ignorance to knowledge through the trial of our faith. We go forward with faith, not knowing beforehand the way that we should go, but holding fast to the hope that as we are guided by the Spirit we will one day arrive at the knowledge we seek. The Lord’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and the Lord’s ways are not our ways. Yet. We are preparing to become like God, to think and to act as He would think and act. Line upon line and precept upon precept we are learning a little more about ourselves and about our God, and it may take all of eternity but we will know God, for that is eternal life.
