Teach One Another
"And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom" (D&C 88:118). We each are given unique insights and perspectives on life and faith and the nature of God. And we each have blindspots and doubts and gaps in our understanding. That's why we have to diligently seek each other out, not just to learn from one another but to teach each other as well. There are things about the gospel and about how to live a better life that only we know and we owe it to those who are struggling to teach them. And we should always welcome and seek out any pearls of wisdom from all those around us. The Savior chose uneducated fishers and even a tax collector to be his mighty teachers and they had more to say than all the scribes and pharisees. We may find words of wisdom in the unlikeliest of places. We may even consider ourselves the most unlikely of sources for faith or wisdom but the Holy Ghost can reveal the truth of all things and when we teach and receive by the Spirit, both are edified together.
