I'm trying something a little different. Here's a testimony as if written by James the Apostle:
I have always had a keen sense for justice and little patience for fools. I have been known to lose my head when those I love are harmed or threatened. Perhaps the best example of my fiery temper is when my brother and I became so incensed at the way the Samaritans treated our Master, the very Son of God, that we demanded that He permit us to call down fire upon them, as Elias did of old. I will never forget His response - The Son of Man is not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. Jesus has had many titles given to Him, but the one that will always mean the most to me is Savior. Jesus saved me that day. I had always been too like the lightning, striking fast and hot, with no regard for the destruction I leave behind.. The lightning is not for you, James, meting out divine wrath with blinding fury. You shall be my Son of Thunder, warning all with your powerful voice to save themselves and take shelter from the coming storm. The Lord has not seen fit to remove entirely from me my fiery temper, but I strive always to remember that I am here to save lives, not destroy them. And so I declare with the voice of thunder that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the World, a refuge from all of the storms of life. He saved my life and He can save yours. These things I declare in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
