The Gift Of The Present

The Lord gives us gifts to use in the present. He gives us the present to use our gifts. If we are not actively seeking ways to share the light and the talents that God has blessed us with in the present moment, then we are hiding our gifts under a bushel, or under a napkin, saying to ourselves that the Lord is a demanding master, reaping where he does not sow. The only things that we really have are time and the agency to choose how to spend our time. The rest is just details. To God, everything is present before Him. If we are to become like God, then we need to make the present mean everything to us. God gives us gifts. He gives us the present. He expects us to use our gifts in the present.
