Give No Heed To Temptation

“He suffered temptations but gave no heed to them.” - D&C 20:22 Christ was a perfect being, and yet he experienced temptation. We need not panic if a temptation bubbles up unbidden into our mind or heart. Becoming like Christ does not mean we never have temptations but that we never give heed to them. It says that Christ suffered or allowed the temptations to come in. We don’t need to fight against the temptation. We can notice that we are being tempted and then we can look to the Savior for strength and we can decide to not give heed to the temptation. The temptations come if we are good or bad, perfect or imperfect. But we get better each and every day as we suffer the temptations but then do not give heed to them.
