God Does Not Triage
"Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy." (3 Nephi 17:7). As finite minds living in a finite world, we are so used to the concept of scarcity. We may even be tempted to view the enabling grace and power of the Atonement as a finite resource. This may lead us to rationalize not turning to the Lord for fear that we will hog all the bandwidth, so to speak, and prevent others who are afflicted more grievously or who are perhaps more deserving than we are. This is simply not true. The Savior's power and grace is infinite. He does not prioritize helping those who seem to be hurting worse because He does not need to. He can help the child with the stubbed toe and the one with leukemia at the same time and with the same degree of care and compassion. He can comfort the person who lost their wallet and the person who lost their parent at the same time and with all of His love. God's grace is sufficient for all seven billion plus people alive right now. We don't need to feel guilty or ashamed to turn to Him and seem help and comfort and healing because it seems like others are suffering worse than we are. Christ Himself suffered worse than all of us put together, so He doesn't mind that we come to Him even with problems that seem too small to bother Him with. If we are afflicted in any manner, He is standing there with outstretched arms to fold us into His grace and make us whole.
