Light Cleaveth Unto Light

"For intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light; mercy hath compassion on mercy and claimeth her own; justice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things." (D&C 88:40). It may seem difficult to attain that first small bit of intelligence, or wisdom, or virtue, or mercy, but if we can just get even a small amount, then we will find that more light will cleave to the small spark we have, the little truth we've discovered will embrace other truths, our small portion of wisdom will receive even more wisdom. The virtues and attributes of God, like God Himself, are all about growing and expanding, about reaching out in love and common fellowship. I know that as we set aside our pride and our fears and embrace learning line upon line, we will find that with each new line, it becomes easier and easier to add the next line.
